Mumbai, November 25, 2025 – In an exclusive conversation, actress Ameesha Patel has opened up about her recent visit to veteran actor Dharmendra, who was hospitalized at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai earlier this month. The actress, visibly emotional, shared details of her meeting with the legendary actor and his family, offering a glimpse into the tense atmosphere surrounding his health scare.

Dharmendra, the "He-Man of Bollywood," had been admitted to the hospital for over a week, prompting visits from numerous Bollywood celebrities, including Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Govinda. News of his hospitalization sparked concerns among fans and well-wishers, with many expressing their support and prayers for his speedy recovery.

Ameesha Patel, who shares a close bond with the Deol family, especially Sunny Deol, visited Dharmendra on Monday, November 10th. She described the moment she learned about Dharmendra's critical condition, stating, "When I heard about Dharmendra Sir, it was quite shocking. We all know he is a fighter, but to hear that he was critical was very disturbing."

Upon arriving at the hospital, Ameesha was met by Sunny Deol. "Seeing Sunny was itself very emotional. We hugged, and you could feel the weight of the situation. He's so strong, but I could see the worry in his eyes," she revealed. She also mentioned the palpable tension within the Deol family, "It's a difficult time for any family, and the Deols are so close-knit. You could feel the collective anxiety."

Ameesha further recounted her meeting with Dharmendra, "Dharam Ji is like family. Seeing him in that state was heartbreaking. But he was still trying to be brave and even cracked a few jokes." She added, "His spirit is truly remarkable. He has this incredible ability to bring a smile to everyone's face, even when he himself is in pain."

The actress also addressed the rumors that circulated online regarding Dharmendra's passing. "It was incredibly insensitive and disturbing to see such false news being spread. The family was already going through so much, and those rumors only added to their distress," she stated.

Following her visit, Ameesha took to social media to condemn the media's insensitive behavior towards the Deol family, urging them to respect their privacy during this challenging time. "I strongly believe the media needs to leave the Deol family alone at this time and respect their privacy," she wrote in her Instagram story. Her sentiment was echoed by filmmaker Karan Johar, who also criticized the "paparazzi and media circus" surrounding Dharmendra's health.

Dharmendra was discharged from Breach Candy Hospital on November 12th and is currently recuperating at home. The Deol family issued a statement requesting privacy and urging the media to refrain from further speculation about his health.
