Celina Jaitly Alleges Years of Abuse by Husband Peter Haag, Seeks Rs 50 Crore in Domestic Violence Case.

Mumbai, India – Celina Jaitly, the Bollywood actress and former Miss India, has filed a domestic violence case against her husband, Peter Haag, an Austrian businessman, alleging years of severe abuse. The 47-year-old actress has accused Haag of emotional, physical, sexual, and verbal abuse throughout their 15-year marriage.

Jaitly filed the complaint in a Mumbai court, seeking ₹50 crore in damages and ₹10 lakh per month for maintenance. The court has issued a notice to Haag, with the next hearing scheduled for December 12.

In her plea, Jaitly detailed instances of abuse that allegedly forced her to flee their home in Austria and return to India in October 2025. She claims that Haag prohibited her from working after their marriage, effectively ending her film career and leading to a loss of potential earnings. She also alleges that Haag controlled her finances, isolated her after her parents' deaths, and coerced her into transferring her Mumbai flat to him.

Jaitly's lawyer, Niharika, stated that the actress endured repeated physical abuse during her marriage. She recounted instances where Haag allegedly humiliated Jaitly, telling her she "looked like his maid" and threatening to "disfigure her face". The petition also describes incidents where Haag shouted at her during pregnancy, pushed her out of their apartment while she was recovering from C-section surgery, and struck her on the back during a dispute in Singapore.

According to the plea, Jaitly described Haag as a "narcissistic, self-absorbed individual" with "a short temper and alcoholic tendencies". She cited instances of rage, reckless driving during pregnancy, and verbal humiliation. One incident mentioned in the plea describes Haag grabbing Jaitly by the wrist and physically pushing her out of their apartment while she was in breastfeeding clothing.

Haag had reportedly filed for divorce in Austria in August 2025. Jaitly claims that she was misled by Haag and his lawyers in the Austrian court, as she was not fluent in the language and was denied access to her lawyer.

Celina Jaitly and Peter Haag married in 2011 in Austria. While Jaitly had previously spoken fondly of their early years together, her recent allegations paint a starkly different picture of their marriage.

In her first reaction after filing the case, Jaitly posted on Facebook, stating that "promises she believed in were broken in silence," and that her "priority remains fighting for her soldier brother, fighting for her children's love, fighting for her dignity". The case is scheduled to be heard on December 12, where further details and evidence are expected to be presented.
