In light of the recent passing of veteran actor Dharmendra, the celebrity screening of the upcoming film Gustaakh Ishq – Kucch Pehle Jaisa, starring Vijay Varma and Fatima Sana Shaikh, has been postponed. The makers of the film have decided to shift the screening to November 28, aligning it with the film's theatrical release date, as a mark of respect for the legendary actor.

Dharmendra, who passed away on Monday, November 24, 2025, at the age of 89, was a towering figure in Indian cinema, having appeared in over 300 films throughout his illustrious career. His death has been widely mourned by fans and the film fraternity alike. Many celebrities, including Amitabh Bachchan, Hema Malini, and Salman Khan, attended his funeral at the Pawan Hans Crematorium in Mumbai.

Gustaakh Ishq, produced by Manish Malhotra and Dinesh Malhotra under Stage5 Production, marks Manish Malhotra's debut as a film producer. The film is directed by Vibhu Puri and stars Naseeruddin Shah and Sharib Hashmi alongside Varma and Shaikh. This romantic drama is set in the 1990s and tells a poignant tale of passion and unspoken desire amidst the fading kothis of Punjab and the bylanes of Purani Dilli.

The film had its world premiere at the 56th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa on November 24, 2025, where it received a warm reception. The film was earlier slated to release on November 21, but was postponed to November 28.
