Farhan Akhtar's war drama, "120 Bahadur," has experienced a significant drop in box office collections on its sixth day, earning an estimated ₹1 crore. This comes after a slight increase on Tuesday, where the film made ₹1.5 crore, up from Monday's ₹1.4 crore. The movie, directed by Razneesh Ghai, had shown promise during its opening weekend, but weekday earnings have struggled to maintain momentum.
The film's total collection in India currently stands at ₹14 crore. "120 Bahadur" opened with ₹2.25 crore on its first Friday and saw growth over the weekend, with ₹3.85 crore on Saturday and ₹4 crore on Sunday. However, collections sharply declined on Monday by 65%.
"120 Bahadur" is facing competition from other films, including "Mastiii 4" and "De De Pyaar De 2," which has further affected its growth trajectory. "Mastiii 4" marginally outperformed "120 Bahadur" in weekday collections.
The Hindi occupancy for "120 Bahadur" on Wednesday was 6.41% overall. Morning shows had an occupancy of 3.99%, afternoon shows 5.93%, evening shows 6.89%, and night shows 8.81%. Specifically, Mumbai recorded 7.00% occupancy with 396 shows, while the National Capital Region (NCR) had 7.25% occupancy with 634 shows. Pune showed an occupancy of 8.00%.
The film's low performance is particularly concerning as it precedes the release of "Tere Ishk Mein," starring Dhanush and Kriti Sanon, which could lead to a further washout for "120 Bahadur".
"120 Bahadur" is based on the Battle of Rezang La in 1962, where 120 soldiers of the Charlie Company, 13th Kumaon Regiment, bravely defended the Rezang La pass against a much larger Chinese force. The film stars Farhan Akhtar, Raashii Khanna, Vivan Bhatena, and Ankit Siwach in key roles. While "120 Bahadur" received mixed reviews, "Mastiii 4" received mostly negative reviews; both films have underperformed at the box office.
