After a successful theatrical run, the film is scheduled to release on JioHotstar through OTTplay Premium on December 5, 2025.

Dies Irae tells the story of Rohan Shankar, an affluent Indo-American architect, played by Pranav Mohanlal, whose life takes a dark turn following the death of his former girlfriend, Kani, a Bharatanatyam dancer portrayed by Sushmitha Bhat. Rohan's visit to Kani's house leads him into a disturbing experience, as he begins to sense an unseen presence in his own home. As Rohan experiences increasingly severe paranormal attacks, he seeks the help of Madhu Potti, a traditional exorcist played by Sreekanth Menon, and together they try to solve sinister mysteries. The narrative explores themes of psychological tension and the blurring lines between reality and the supernatural.
The OTT platform, JioHotstar, announced the release date with an 11-second teaser, stating, "The Day of Wrath is here," heightening the anticipation for the film's digital premiere. Dies Irae will be available in Malayalam, with potential options for viewing in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada.
Dies Irae achieved commercial success, earning over Rs 82 crore worldwide and Rs 41.21 crore in India. Jibin Gopinath and the supporting cast including Arun Ajikumar, Jaya Kurup, Manohari Joy and Swathi Das Prabhu also contributed to the film's success.
