Sarah Paulson's Hollywood Walk of Fame Honor: A Journey of Dreams, Challenges, and Julia Roberts Admiration.

Sarah Paulson, the Emmy and Tony Award-winning actress, received her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Tuesday, December 2nd, 2025. The ceremony, held at 6533 Hollywood Boulevard, honored Paulson's contributions to television and marked the 2,829th star on the iconic walkway.

The unveiling was attended by a host of Paulson's friends, family, and collaborators, including her partner Holland Taylor, and actress Amanda Peet. Both Taylor and Peet, who co-starred with Paulson in "Jack and Jill" and "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip," spoke at the event. Ryan Murphy, a frequent collaborator of Paulson's, was also present, with his own star located right next to hers. The event was emceed by Dayna Devon. Other notable attendees included Leslie Grossman, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Niecy Nash and her wife Jessica Betts, Judith Light, Melanie Lynskey, Clea DuVall, and Aisha Hinds.

In her acceptance speech, Paulson reflected on her journey to Hollywood and her early aspirations, sharing a personal anecdote about her admiration for Julia Roberts. She recalled plastering her locker with pictures of Roberts while attending the High School of Performing Arts in Manhattan and quoting lines from her movies. Paulson humorously admitted to a teenage quest to emulate Roberts, sparked by someone casually mentioning a resemblance. "It took me too long to understand that Julia Roberts landed in our hearts because she was so unabashedly herself," Paulson stated, acknowledging that she had been "so busy dreaming of a working journey that mimicked Julia Roberts; I couldn't see the road I was already traveling a road uniquely mine".

Paulson also expressed immense gratitude to those who have supported her throughout her career. She specifically credited Ryan Murphy as "the person most responsible" for her success, acknowledging his unwavering support and collaboration over the years. Murphy, in turn, praised Paulson's exceptional talent and willingness to take risks, stating, "Sarah leaps over hills, unsure of where the horizon will be... I never wrote roles for Sarah because I wanted to challenge her. I wrote them as a fan. I just wanted to be entertained by her". Holland Taylor lauded Paulson's "own humanity" as her "secret skill as an actor".

Ana Martinez, the Walk of Fame producer, highlighted Paulson's "remarkable career and artistry" and noted the significance of her star being placed next to Ryan Murphy's. Paulson's extensive career includes notable roles in television series such as "American Horror Story," "American Crime Story," and "All's Fair," as well as her recent Tony Award-winning performance in the Broadway play "Appropriate".

Looking ahead, Paulson expressed a desire to continue taking risks and betting on herself. "If I take in everything I've accomplished as the truth, maybe the best is still ahead of me,” she said. Paulson is set to star in the fourth season of Murphy's "Monster" series, where she will portray a female assassin.
