Ahaan Shetty has completed filming for the highly anticipated war film, Border 2. The actor described the experience as challenging and unforgettable, expressing profound gratitude for the armed forces, his co-stars, and the entire crew. Border 2 is slated for release on January 23 next year.

Shetty shared his reflections on Instagram, posting a heartfelt note alongside behind-the-scenes images from the set. In his message, he conveyed the emotional weight of concluding this chapter. "That's a wrap on Border 2. Walking off set today feels heavier than I expected," Ahaan wrote. "This film challenged me and gave me moments I'll never forget. I'm leaving with a heart full of gratitude for our armed forces, the incredible artists I've had the chance to share the screen with, and the entire team who have become family".

He emphasized the film's deeper significance, stating, "This film is more than just a film... It carries the weight of real stories, real courage, and the patriotism that lives beyond the screen". Ahaan concluded his post with "Thank you, Border 2… this chapter will stay with me forever. Jai Hind". He also shared pictures posing with military personnel and his fellow actors Sunny Deol, Diljit Dosanjh, and Varun Dhawan.

Border 2, directed by Anurag Singh, boasts a star-studded cast including Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, Ahan Shetty, Medha Rana, Mona Singh, and Sonam Bajwa. The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar, JP Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta.

The film is a sequel to the 1997 hit Border, which was based on the Battle of Longewala during the India-Pakistan War of 1971. Border 2 is reported to be based on the 1999 Kargil War between India and Pakistan and aims to capture the same spirit of patriotism, sacrifice, and passion as its predecessor. The film intends to honor the heroism and unwavering spirit of Indian soldiers.

Filming commenced earlier in the year, with the third schedule taking place at the National Defence Academy in Pune. A picture of Dosanjh and Shetty alongside Deol and Dhawan at the academy was released by the producers.
