The first look of the highly anticipated thriller series, Bhay – The Gaurav Tiwari Mystery, starring Kalki Koechlin and Karan Tacker, has been revealed, igniting discussions across social media. The series is inspired by the life and mysterious death of Gaurav Tiwari, known as India's first certified paranormal investigator.
Kalki Koechlin shared the first glimpse of the series, creating a buzz online. The image hints at a tense and mysterious mood, leaving fans speculating about the show's themes. Karan Tacker plays Gaurav Tiwari, while Kalki Koechlin plays Irene Venkat, a journalist and author. The series also stars Danish Sood and Saloni Batra in pivotal roles.
Tacker expressed his excitement about portraying Gaurav Tiwari, stating it has been one of the most immersive and joyful experiences of his career. He added that Tiwari's life was a blend of science and spirituality, belief and skepticism, and his thought of "knowledge cancels fear" drew him to the show. Tacker sees Bhay as an exploration of the unknown and a tribute to a man who dedicated himself to unveiling mysteries beyond our understanding.
The series is directed by Robbie Grewal and Arshad Syed and produced by Prabhleen Sandhu of Almighty Motion Picture. The eight-episode series was filmed in London.
