Lakshya, fresh off the success of "The Ba***ds of Bollywood," is set to star in a new Dharma Productions film, tentatively titled "Lag Jaa Gale". The film, a romantic drama directed by Raj Mehta of "Jug Jugg Jeeyo" fame, is expected to go on floors this weekend in Mumbai.
The movie will be a love triangle between Lakshya, Tiger Shroff, and Janhvi Kapoor. Shroff is expected to play Lakshya’s arch-nemesis. Sources say Kapoor has been finalized as the female lead.
According to sources, pre-production is complete, and the cast and crew are ready to begin a 20-day shooting schedule in Mumbai. "Lag Jaa Gale" is being produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions. The film is aiming for a theatrical release in the second half of 2026.
Lakshya's role is expected to be both a romantic anchor and a catalyst for conflict. The film is expected to be an emotional thriller where love, obsession, and revenge collide.
"Lag Jaa Gale" marks another significant project for Lakshya, who made his Bollywood debut with "Kill" and gained further recognition in "The Ba***ds of Bollywood". He also has upcoming projects like "Chand Mera Dil" with Ananya Panday and "Dostana 2" alongside Vikrant Massey.
Raj Mehta, known for directing crowd-pleasers like "Good Newwz" and "Jug Jugg Jeeyo," is expected to bring his signature touch to this romantic drama. The film is expected to have stylized yet grounded action.
"Lag Jaa Gale" signifies an interplay of intense romance and revenge, promising heightened emotions. The film is likely to feature hardcore action with emotional depth.
This project marks the first collaboration between Tiger Shroff and Janhvi Kapoor. Lakshya and Janhvi Kapoor were previously cast in "Dostana 2," but Janhvi left the project then.
