The revelation came during Winslet's appearance on "The Graham Norton Show," where she shared the story for the first time publicly.
Winslet hosted the Halloween episode of SNL on October 30, 2004, with Eminem as the musical guest. Eminem performed "Mosh" and "Just Lose It" on the show. Backstage, according to Winslet, the rapper approached her with a bizarre request. "This is a story I've never, never told," Winslet began, before divulging the details of the encounter. She claimed Eminem asked her to shave his bottom.
Winslet recounted Eminem's direct question: "Would you shave my butt?". To which she responded, "I'm sorry, I don't do personal grooming". She humorously added, "I'm not gonna go with a Bic and get your crack, love. Honestly!". The actress's candid retelling of the story elicited laughter from the audience and host Graham Norton. Norton even questioned if Eminem had offered her a handheld razor.
The 2004 SNL episode was particularly stressful, as it aired just one week after Ashlee Simpson's infamous lip-syncing incident. Winslet had only 24 hours to prepare for her monologue, which included singing and tap dancing live, a move seemingly designed to reassure viewers that the show was, in fact, live. At the time, Winslet was also promoting her film "Finding Neverland".
Winslet has not hosted "Saturday Night Live" since that 2004 appearance.

Winslet also shared another anecdote on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" about a near-miss encounter with King Charles III, where she almost revealed herself due to a transparent outfit. She recalled panicking and covering herself with a coat just in time. Despite this, she was recently invited to Princess Kate Middleton's annual "Together at Christmas" carol service.
