Chinmayi Sripada Reports Morphed Nude Threats and Death Threats Against Children; Police Investigation Underway.

Chennai, December 11, 2025 - Singer and voice actress Chinmayi Sripada has filed a complaint with authorities after being targeted with a morphed nude image and death threats against her children. The singer took to social media Wednesday evening to address the escalating online abuse she has faced in recent weeks.

Sripada revealed that the harassment intensified after her husband, filmmaker-actor Rahul Ravindran, made a comment regarding mangalasutra a few weeks ago. Since then, she and her family have been subjected to increased trolling, including the circulation of a morphed nude image of her.

In a video posted online, Sripada stated she has been abused and her children have received death threats. She recounted filing a police complaint against individuals on Twitter Spaces who expressed that women they dislike should not have children, and if they do, their children should die. She noted that these comments were met with applause and laughter.

Sripada has been a frequent target of online abuse since she spoke out about facing harassment from a lyricist. She claims that some of the abuse is orchestrated by paid trolls with political motivations. "A lot of people have abused me; they have been paid for by political groups," she said.

Sripada also warned about the dangers of AI and deepfakes, stating that they will become more common and be used to target women who are disagreed with or those seeking revenge. Addressing women directly, she urged them not to be shamed by such actions. "I am not the kind of woman who is shamed by this," she declared. "The only way for women to manage this is to get rid of the shame. It's not your shame. Tell your family nothing to be afraid of".

Sripada also raised concerns about the potential use of AI in child exploitation, emphasizing the prevalence of AI-generated child pornography. She urged vigilance and awareness, stating, "Open your eyes, be aware of what is happening around you".

The singer's decision to speak out and file a complaint aims to raise awareness about the increasing threats women face online, particularly with the rise of deepfakes and AI technology. She hopes to empower other women to stand up against online harassment and abuse and to not be ashamed by morphed images or videos.
