The upcoming live-action adaptation of the iconic video game Street Fighter has revealed first-look posters of its star-studded cast, including Jason Momoa and Vidyut Jammwal. The film is slated to hit theaters on October 16, 2026.
The film's cast made an appearance at the 2025 Game Awards, where the teaser trailer debuted.
Vidyut Jammwal shared the cast looks on his Instagram, featuring Noah Centineo, Andrew Koji, Callina Liang, Roman Reigns, David Dastmalchian, Cody Rhodes, Andrew Schulz, Eric André, Curtis '50 Cent' Jackson, and Jason Momoa. His caption read: “In the company of warriors, I find my tribe".
Jammwal also revealed his first look as Dhalsim in collaboration with the Street Fighter movie's official Instagram handle. The character embodies an intense, ascetic edge with a lean, battle-ready physique marked in traditional monk-style. The post's caption read: “Stretch beyond your limits. VIDYUT JAMMWAL is DHALSIM".
Street Fighter is directed by Kitao Sakurai from a screenplay by Dalan Musson. The film is co-produced by Legendary Entertainment and Japanese video game developer Capcom, with Paramount Pictures handling distribution.
The film is set in 1993 and follows estranged Street Fighters Ryu (Andrew Koji) and Ken Masters (Noah Centineo). Chun-Li (Callina Liang) recruits them for the World Warrior Tournament, a battle of fists, fate, and fury. A deadly conspiracy forces them to confront each other and their past demons.
Vidyut Jammwal's portrayal of Dhalsim marks his Hollywood debut. Dhalsim is depicted as a peaceful yogi with fire-spitting abilities who fights to support his family. The film also stars Jason Momoa as Blanka and Roman Reigns as Akuma. The cast includes Curtis '50 Cent' Jackson as Balrog, David Dastmalchian as M. Bison, Cody Rhodes as Guile, and Andrew Schulz as Dan Hibiki.
The film aims to capture the spirit of the 90s classic video game while updating it for a new generation.
Principal photography for Street Fighter began in August 2025 and wrapped up in November. The film is scheduled for release on October 16, 2026.
