Sobhita Dhulipala Discusses Sarees, Marriage Speculations, and Personal Style in an Exclusive Interview.

Sobhita Dhulipala, the acclaimed Indian actress and beauty pageant titleholder, recently shared insights into her life, encompassing her perspectives on love, her first year of marriage to Naga Chaitanya, and her enduring affection for sarees. In a recent interview with News18 Showsha, marking her first wedding anniversary, Dhulipala reflected on her marriage to actor Naga Chaitanya, which took place on December 4, 2024, at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad.

Dhulipala, known for her roles in "Made in Heaven" and "Ponniyin Selvan," described her first year of marriage as "fun and great," emphasizing that her creativity is greatly encouraged. She highlighted the importance of making time for each other despite their demanding schedules, noting that "If you want something, it happens easily. If you don't, even the easiest thing seems difficult". Despite a busy year shooting for two films, with over 160 days spent in Tamil Nadu, she expressed excitement and fulfillment in balancing married life with her career.

In the interview, Dhulipala shared her philosophy on love, stating, "True love is when you feel like you are complete and then your partner reveals the parts of you that are inside you". She elaborated on this idea, drawing parallels to Carl Jung's theory, suggesting that while individuals are complete in themselves, a partner can reveal hidden aspects of one's nature. On their first anniversary, Dhulipala released a playful wedding video, offering fans a glimpse into unseen moments from their wedding rituals. In the video, she expressed that she would 'not be full' without Chaitanya in her life.

Dhulipala's appreciation for traditional Indian attire, particularly sarees, is also noteworthy. She often blends traditional styles with modern aesthetics, showcasing a diverse saree collection. For her pre-wedding ceremony, she wore a traditional silk saree gifted by her aunt, featuring contrasting orange and green borders. On her wedding day, Dhulipala adorned two sarees designed by Gaurang Shah: an antique classic gold Kanjivaram tissue saree with zari work and a hand charkha woven white khadi saree with a red silk zari border. She accessorized her bridal look with heritage jewelry from Kishan Das Jewellery, including a matha patti, chaand suraj, mango mala, and a choker, adorned with polki diamonds, rubies, and emeralds. For the Gowri Puja ceremony, she wore a gold pattu saree, a lustrous silk saree originating from South India, and later changed into a white and red madhuparkam saree for the mangalsutra ceremony.

Sobhita Dhulipala was born on May 31, 1992, in Tenali, Andhra Pradesh. She began dating Naga Chaitanya in 2022, and after a two-year relationship, they got engaged on August 8, 2024, in Hyderabad. Dhulipala made her acting debut in Anurag Kashyap's "Raman Raghav 2.0" (2016) and gained recognition for her lead role in the Amazon Prime Video series "Made in Heaven" (2019–2023). She has since appeared in commercially successful films across various languages, including Telugu, Malayalam, and Tamil, and expanded to American cinema with the action thriller "Monkey Man" (2024).
