Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar Movie Inches Towards ₹300 Crore Milestone on Day 9 at the Box Office

Ranveer Singh's "Dhurandhar" is showing no signs of slowing down at the domestic box office, crossing the ₹300 crore mark in India. The film has raked in impressive numbers since its release on December 5, 2025.

On Saturday, its ninth day in theaters, "Dhurandhar" amassed ₹53 crore at the domestic box office, marking its highest single-day earnings yet. This represents a remarkable 61% jump from its Friday earnings of ₹32.50 crore. According to Sacnilk.com, the film's total domestic collection has reached ₹292.75 crore.

Early estimates suggest that "Dhurandhar" had an overall 66.09% Hindi occupancy on Saturday. Trade analysts anticipate the film will continue its strong performance, potentially earning between ₹50 crore and ₹55 crore on its tenth day. This would not only propel "Dhurandhar" past the ₹300 crore milestone but also move it closer to the ₹350 crore mark.

"Dhurandhar" has also crossed the ₹100-crore mark at the overseas box office. Until its eighth day of release, the worldwide box office collection for "Dhurandhar" stood at ₹372.75 crore, including ₹85.00 crore from overseas markets.

Directed by Aditya Dhar, "Dhurandhar" marks his return to directing after six years and is his first collaboration with Ranveer Singh. The film features a star-studded cast, including Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan, and Rakesh Bedi. The movie also marks the debut of Sara Arjun.

"Dhurandhar" is set against the backdrop of the 1999 IC-814 Kandahar hijack and the 2001 Parliament attack. The film blends elements of a spy thriller and an epic gangster saga.

Critics have praised the performances of the cast, particularly Ranveer Singh and Akshaye Khanna. Ranveer Singh portrays Hamza Mazari, a feral and shrewd killing machine with a beating heart. Akshaye Khanna plays a Lyari gangster who seeks legitimacy as a political leader.

Some viewers may be disappointed that visuals in the "Dhurandhar" trailer belong to the second part, which is set to release in cinemas on March 19, 2026.

Despite a lengthy runtime of 3 hours and 32 minutes, "Dhurandhar" has been lauded for its gripping storyline, strong characterizations, and intense action sequences.
