Maniesh Paul has announced the completion of his 2025 filming schedule for "Vvan: Force of the Forest," expressing his enthusiasm with the words "It's been VVANderful". Paul joins a cast that includes Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia in this mythological folk thriller.
Directed by Deepak Mishra and Arunabh Kumar, and produced by Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Motion Pictures in collaboration with The Viral Fever (TVF), "Vvan: Force of the Forest" is slated to premiere in theaters on May 15, 2026.
The film's production experienced some initial disruption in June due to creative differences. However, the script underwent revisions, and production resumed with renewed enthusiasm. Maniesh Paul, along with Sunil Grover and Shweta Tiwari, were brought on board to join the principal cast.
"Vvan: Force of the Forest" has generated considerable buzz since its announcement, particularly due to its unique presentation and background music. The film is anticipated to explore wild forests, ancient legends, and hidden temples, drawing inspiration from Indian folklore. The narrative is expected to revolve around age-old myths coming to life in an unprecedented manner.
A teaser released in April featured Tamannaah Bhatia running barefoot through a forest in a red saree, carrying a lamp, and encountering a sign that warns against entering the forest after sunset.
Maniesh Paul is also known for his role in "Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari". Sunil Grover is a star comedian from "The Great Indian Kapil Show".
