Rob Reiner's Alleged Murder: Couple Found Stabbed in Los Angeles Home, Police Investigate Horrific Crime.

Los Angeles, CA - Rob Reiner, the acclaimed director and actor, and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner, were found dead at their Los Angeles home in Brentwood on Sunday afternoon. Law enforcement officials have launched an investigation into what they are calling an apparent homicide.

The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) responded to a call regarding a "death investigation" at approximately 3:40 p.m. PST on December 14th. Upon arrival, officers discovered two deceased individuals with stab wounds. The victims were later identified as 78-year-old Rob Reiner and 68-year-old Michele Singer Reiner.

According to multiple sources, the couple was allegedly stabbed to death by their son, Nick Reiner. In 2016, Nick Reiner spoke about his struggles with drug addiction. It is unclear if this has any impact on the current turn of events.

The Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) also responded to the scene, arriving at the residence on South Chadbourne Avenue around 3:30 p.m.. LAFD personnel confirmed the deaths of a 78-year-old man and a 68-year-old woman at the scene.

The LAPD's Robbery Homicide Division is currently investigating the case. Authorities have not yet released details regarding a motive.

Rob Reiner was a defining figure in American film and television. He first gained fame as Michael “Meathead” Stivic on the sitcom "All in the Family," winning two Emmy Awards for his performance. Transitioning to directing, Reiner helmed numerous iconic films, including "This Is Spinal Tap," "Stand by Me," "When Harry Met Sally," "The Princess Bride," "Misery," "A Few Good Men," and "The American President". His most recent directorial project was "Spinal Tap II: The End Continues".

Michele Singer Reiner was a photographer and activist. Rob Reiner and Michele Singer married in 1989 and had three children: Jake, Nick, and Romy. Reiner also has a daughter, Tracy, from his previous marriage to director Penny Marshall.

The Reiner family released a statement expressing their sorrow. "It is with profound sorrow that we announce the tragic passing of Michele and Rob Reiner," the statement read. "We are heartbroken by this sudden loss, and we ask for privacy during this unbelievably difficult time".
