Nora Fatehi shaken but safe after drunk driver collision; recalls near-death experience.

Mumbai, December 21, 2025 – Bollywood actress and dancer Nora Fatehi was involved in a car accident in Mumbai on Saturday afternoon when a vehicle driven by an allegedly drunk driver collided with her car. The incident occurred around 4 p.m. in the Amboli area of Link Road as Fatehi was en route to the Sunburn Music Festival, where she was scheduled to perform.

Following the collision, Fatehi was immediately taken to a nearby hospital for medical evaluation. Doctors confirmed that she sustained minor injuries, including swelling and a slight concussion. A CT scan was conducted, and her condition was determined to be stable.

In the aftermath of the accident, Fatehi took to social media to share her experience and express her relief. "Hey guys, I'm just coming here to tell you guys that I am okay," she stated in an Instagram post. "Yes, I was in a really serious car accident today in the afternoon. A drunk person smashed my car… and the impact was quite severe. I bashed my head on the window". She described being "flung across the car seat" during the collision and hitting her head on the window.

Despite the traumatic experience and her injuries, Fatehi displayed remarkable resilience and professionalism. She chose to proceed with her scheduled performance at the Sunburn Music Festival alongside international DJ David Guetta. Sources close to the actress conveyed that the incident caused considerable concern among her team and fans, particularly given her demanding work schedule.

Mumbai Police have arrested the accused driver, identified as 27-year-old Vinay Sakpal, and have registered a case against him under sections related to rash driving and driving under the influence of alcohol. Authorities confirmed that Sakpal was suspected to be intoxicated at the time of the crash.

Fatehi also used the incident as an opportunity to speak out against drunk driving. "In fact, I am not someone who has ever liked the idea of alcohol or anything like such as drugs, weed, anything that puts you in a different state of mind… You should not drink and drive. It's 2025. I cannot believe that this is even a conversation," she emphasized.

The accident has sparked widespread concern and has once again highlighted the dangers of drunk driving. Fans and well-wishers have flooded social media with messages wishing Fatehi a speedy recovery. At present, there has been no official statement from the actor herself, but those close to her have confirmed that she is recovering well and remains in good spirits.
