Kartik Aaryan Jokingly Calls Himself a Guest at Sister's Wedding: 'Danced For Free' Highlights Frivolity

Kartik Aaryan recently shared insights into his sister Kritika Tiwari's wedding, revealing he felt more like a guest than a family member during the festivities. In a lighthearted conversation on "The Great Indian Kapil Show," alongside actress Ananya Panday, Aaryan described how his mother and sister took charge of all the arrangements, leaving him to simply enjoy the celebrations.

Dr. Kritika Tiwari, a hair-transplant specialist, tied the knot with pilot Tejashwi Singh in a private ceremony in their hometown of Gwalior on December 4, 2025. The wedding celebrations, which spanned multiple pre-wedding rituals, were filled with color, emotions, and fun, and glimpses of the events were shared by Kartik with his fans.

During the show, Aaryan jokingly told host Kapil Sharma, “Everything was done by mother and my sister... I was the guest in my own family's wedding festivities. I also danced at the wedding for free, my sister didn't give me a single penny”. Despite his "guest" status, Aaryan actively participated in the ceremonies, and videos and photos captured his joy as his sister embarked on a new chapter.

Aaryan also shared a touching video on Instagram of him holding the floral canopy over Kritika as she walked down the aisle, accompanied by his song 'Tera Yaar Hoon Main'. He later posted a heartfelt note expressing his emotions, reminiscing about their childhood and conveying his love for his sister as she begins her married life. Alongside a series of images, from family portraits to moments of him holding the phoolon ki chadar over his sister’s head, Aaryan expressed the depth of his emotions.

In his post, he wrote, “There are days that change your world quietly... today was one of them. Seeing my kiki as a bride felt like watching years turn into a moment !! Kiki, I've watched you grow from the little girl who ran behind me everywhere to this graceful bride who walked into her new life today with so much joy and strength. I'm proud of the woman you've become, proud of the values you carry, and grateful for every laugh, fight, secret, and memory we've shared. And today, as you walked ahead, my heart stayed right by your side”.

Videos from the pre-wedding festivities went viral, including one where Aaryan was seen dancing to 'Kajra Re' at the Haldi ceremony. He was also seen applying haldi to his sister and flaunting a 'Tikki' tattoo on his wrist, referencing his sister's wedding hashtag.

The wedding took place at the Taj Usha Kiran Palace, a 144-year-old palace established by Maharaja Jayaji Rao Scindia in 1880. Kritika reacted to Aaryan's heartfelt post with a sentimental comment, calling it her "entire world in one album" and expressing how overwhelmed she felt.
