In a recent exclusive interview, "Game of Thrones" star Sophie Turner revealed her admiration for Bollywood, showering praise on Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone. The actress, known for her role as Sansa Stark, openly expressed her desire to star in a Bollywood film, particularly drawn to the elaborate dance sequences and grand production design.
Turner, who was promoting her new Amazon Prime Video thriller "Steal" alongside co-star Archie Madekwe, didn't hold back when expressing her fondness for Indian cinema. When asked about Bollywood, she immediately named Shah Rukh Khan, referring to him as the "GOAT" (Greatest Of All Time). She also expressed her love for Deepika Padukone, calling her amazing and stating that she loves watching her.
The actress went on to describe her fascination with Bollywood movies, particularly the dance numbers. "I'd actually love to be in a Bollywood movie," Turner exclaimed. "I'd love to do the dance. I think it's such a spectacle, and they're so beautiful, and the production design is so unlike anything we will ever see on a western film set. I'd love to be involved in one someday".
Turner's co-star, Archie Madekwe, also shared his thoughts on the industry and the challenges faced by those pursuing a career in acting. Turner added to this by saying that it's important to love what you do as it is not easy and you need a thick skin in the industry.
In "Steal", Sophie Turner plays Zara, an ordinary office worker who gets caught up in a high-stakes pension fund heist. Archie Madekwe plays her colleague, Luke, while Jacob Fortune-Lloyd takes on the role of Detective Chief Inspector Rhys, who is investigating the crime. The series promises to be a slick British crime thriller with plenty of twists and turns.
