The highly anticipated third season of the International Emmy Award-winning series "Delhi Crime" is generating buzz, with Bollywood celebrities expressing their excitement. Rajkummar Rao is among those who have lauded the trailer, calling it 'mind-blowing'. The new season is set to premiere on Netflix on November 13, 2025.
"Delhi Crime" season 3 will see Shefali Shah reprise her role as DCP Vartika Chaturvedi, also known as 'Madam Sir'. This season, she and her team will be investigating a human trafficking network that spans across the country. The story begins with the discovery of an abandoned baby, which leads Vartika and her team on a nationwide chase, exposing a deadly criminal network that trades the future of young girls.
Huma Qureshi joins the cast this season as Meena, also known as "Badi Didi," a ruthless kingpin who builds her empire by exploiting young girls. The season will feature a face-off between Vartika and Meena, as they stand on opposite sides of the law.
The series also brings back Rasika Dugal as Neeti Singh, Rajesh Tailang as Bhupendra Singh, Jaya Bhattacharya as Vimla Baradwaj, and Anuraag Arora as Jairaj Singh. New additions to the cast include Sayani Gupta, Mita Vasisht, Kelly Dorji, and Anshumaan Pushkar. Tanuj Chopra directs the third season, and the writing team includes Chopra, Anu Singh Choudhary, Apoorva Bakshi, Michael Hogan, Mayank Tiwari, and Shubhra Swarup.
Shefali Shah shared her thoughts on returning as Madam Sir, saying, "Returning as Vartika always feels deeply personal. Human trafficking isn't the act of a few; it's the symptom of a society that looks the other way. But Vartika, true to who she is, keeps fighting anyway – even if it means saving just one life". Huma Qureshi described her character as “powerful yet unsettling”. "Meena is shaped by trauma yet wields immense control," she said. "She's both victim and perpetrator. Delhi Crime doesn't glorify or sensationalise — it confronts the uncomfortable truths hiding in plain sight," she added.
"Delhi Crime" season 3 is produced by Golden Karavan and SK Global Entertainment. The series promises to be a gripping and emotional journey, exploring complex human emotions alongside shocking criminal acts.
