Manushi Chhillar Addresses Criticism Regarding Her Music Video Collaboration with Diljit Dosanjh: "Every Song Has..."

Manushi Chhillar has responded to criticism surrounding her appearance in Diljit Dosanjh's new music video, "Kufar". The song is part of Dosanjh's latest album, "AURA," which features ten tracks. The music video, directed and choreographed by Piyush-Shazia, showcases Chhillar alongside Dosanjh in various stylish settings.

The video has garnered attention for its visuals and the chemistry between Chhillar and Dosanjh. Manushi is seen with a spinning top tattoo, a visual element reminiscent of the movie 'Inception'. She sports different costumes and styling throughout the video. Dosanjh, known for his Punjabi swag, delivers the song with his signature simplicity.

However, the music video also sparked some controversy. Some viewers questioned certain dance moves, expressing disappointment and stating that they did not expect such content from Dosanjh, who is known for maintaining high standards. One user commented that Dosanjh should have reviewed the video before release and removed the questionable choreography, as it did not align with their culture.

During an Instagram Live session, Dosanjh addressed the criticism, clarifying that he was not involved in the choreography and had no say in the dance moves. He stated that his role was limited to performing as the singer, and the creative team handled the choreography.

When asked about her decision to be a part of the music video and how she felt about the reactions, Manushi Chhillar said, "Every song has a different feel to it, and as an artist, I believe in exploring diverse creative avenues. 'Kufar' is a song with a very distinct vibe, and I enjoyed being a part of it. As for the reactions, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and I respect that. Art is subjective, and what resonates with one person may not resonate with another. My focus is always on putting my best foot forward and contributing to the project in the best way I can."

Chhillar's career has seen her transition from winning Miss World 2017 to acting in Bollywood films. She made her acting debut in "Samrat Prithviraj" (2022) and has since appeared in "The Great Indian Family" (2023) and "Bade Miyan Chote Miyan" (2024). She was also seen in "Operation Valentine" (2024). More recently, Chillar starred in "Maalik" (2025) opposite Rajkummar Rao and "Tehran" opposite John Abraham.

Dosanjh has several projects in the pipeline, including Imtiaz Ali's next romantic drama and "Border 2," set to release next year. "Kufar" is the second track on Diljit Dosanjh's new album "AURA". Dosanjh promoted the music video on Instagram, calling "AURA" the "sexiest album of the year".
