Naga Chaitanya's upcoming film, tentatively known as #NC24, has been officially titled Vrushakarma, with the first look poster unveiled on the actor's 39th birthday. The film, directed by Karthik Dandu of Virupaksha fame, stars Naga Chaitanya and Meenakshi Chaudhary in the lead roles, with Sparsh Shrivastava playing the antagonist.
The title Vrushakarma translates to "the one who performs righteous actions," suggesting Naga Chaitanya's character embodies righteousness. The first look poster presents a raw, intense, and power-packed visual, setting the tone for a mythical thriller. The poster, dominated by earthy tones and dust, captures a high-impact moment filled with grit and urgency. It features Naga Chaitanya in a never-seen-before avatar, with a muscular frame, sweat, and a focused expression that heighten the sense of physical struggle and survival. His torn, rugged outfit underscores the harsh and ancient world in which the story unfolds. The backdrop features a dramatic celestial eclipse, adding a mythical and ominous atmosphere, while broken structures and a war-torn landscape hint at a narrative steeped in mystery, ancient forces, and epic conflict.
The makers of Vrushakarma chose Superstar Mahesh Babu to unveil the title and first look, who shared the poster on his social media platforms. The film is jointly produced by SVCC (Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra) and Sukumar Writings, and presented by Bapineedu. Vrushakarma boasts some of the industry's finest technicians, with Ragul D. Herian handling the cinematography, Ajaneesh B. Loknath composing the music, Sri Nagendra Tangala overseeing production design, and Naveen Nooli taking charge of editing.
Karthik Dandu's signature blend of history and mythology aims to present Naga Chaitanya in a never-before-seen avatar. Meenakshi Chaudhary plays the leading lady, while Sparsh Shrivastava, known for Laapataa Ladies, plays the antagonist. A few weeks ago, makers of the movie had unveiled Meenakshi Chaudhary's poster, introducing her as Daksha.
The film is shaping up to be one of Naga Chaitanya's most ambitious projects yet, with high expectations surrounding this project. The film explores themes rooted in myth and history. The shooting is currently progressing at a massive set in Hyderabad. Vrushakarma is slated for release in the second half of 2026.
