Tanuj Virwani, son of veteran actress Rati Agnihotri, has been making waves in the entertainment industry with his performances in various web series and films. While he continues to carve his own path, the question of whether he will ever share screen space with his mother remains a topic of interest. In a recent conversation, Tanuj shed light on this possibility, hinting that his mother might have retired from acting.

"My mom is more or less retired from acting," Tanuj revealed. "I don't know if people will get a chance to see us together on the screen. She is enjoying her life." This statement suggests that Rati Agnihotri, who made her Hindi film debut with the iconic film Ek Duuje Ke Liye in 1981, may have decided to step away from the limelight.

Tanuj further elaborated on his mother's current life, stating, "Prior to the pandemic, she had gone to Poland, where my maasi lives. They opened a few restaurants there. Now, she is back in town. She is enjoying her life in her 60s. I don't know if she is going to act again. If she does, we will definitely try to do something together.” This indicates that Rati is currently focused on enjoying her personal life and exploring new ventures outside of acting.

While a potential collaboration between Tanuj and Rati might be a treat for fans, Tanuj's statement suggests that it may not happen soon. However, he did leave a glimmer of hope, saying that if his mother decides to act again, they would definitely try to work together.

Tanuj Virwani has established himself as a versatile actor with roles in series like Inside Edge, Code M, and Cartel. He is currently gearing up for the release of Rana Naidu Season 2 on Netflix, where he plays an important role.

Tanuj’s upcoming projects also include DAU (Domestic Anti-Terrorism Unit) with Rahul Dev, Johnny Jumper with Vijay Raaz and Zakir Hussain, and a rom-com titled Poppy Love with Trida Chaudhary and Divya Agarwal. He also completed a short film with Gajraj Rao.

Tanuj married Tanya Jacob in December 2023 and became a father in September 2024. He has stated that becoming a father has transformed him and changed his perspective towards life.

Rati Agnihotri, on the other hand, has had a remarkable career, working with leading actors like Rishi Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, Rajinikanth, and Kamal Haasan. She married businessman and architect Anil Virwani in 1985 and took a break from films for 16 years, returning to acting later with her son Tanuj's encouragement.
