A Chinese woman has been arrested for allegedly attempting to break into the home of BTS member Jungkook. The incident occurred on June 11, 2025, the same day Jungkook was discharged from his mandatory military service. The Yongsan Police Station in Seoul is investigating the woman, identified as Ms. A, who is in her 30s, on suspicion of attempted trespassing.

According to reports, the incident took place around 11:20 PM KST at Jungkook's residence in Yongsan-gu, Seoul. Responding to a report, police arrived at the scene and apprehended Ms. A while she was allegedly trying to enter the passcode multiple times on the front door. It is alleged that the woman told the police that she came to Korea to see Jungkook after his discharge from the military.

BigHit Music, the agency representing BTS, has released an official statement regarding the incident and other malicious acts targeting the group. The agency stated that they are fully cooperating with the police investigation and have submitted CCTV footage as evidence to ensure the intruder receives appropriate criminal punishment.

BigHit Music has a zero-tolerance policy toward actions that threaten the privacy and safety of their artists. They stated that they immediately report stalking behavior to the police and file restraining orders as needed. The agency is also taking legal action against defamatory posts, false information, sexual harassment, and personal attacks targeting BTS members across online communities and social media platforms. BigHit encouraged fans to continue reporting such incidents through the HYBE Artist Rights Protection platform to assist in legal efforts.

The incident has sparked concern among fans, who have voiced their support for Jungkook and called for greater protection of his privacy. Many fans have also expressed concern over YouTubers and online content creators who allegedly broadcast personal details about BTS members, potentially violating privacy laws.

BigHit Music has been actively monitoring online communities and social media channels for malicious content, collecting evidence, and filing complaints against those responsible. Some of the complaints filed in the third quarter of 2024 have already resulted in fines, and other cases are proceeding toward favorable outcomes. The agency has vowed to continue to respond with responsibility and determination until all matters are resolved.

This incident highlights the challenges faced by celebrities in maintaining their privacy and security in the face of obsessive fans and the pervasive nature of social media. BigHit Music's strong stance against such behavior reflects the growing awareness and concern within the entertainment industry regarding the need to protect artists from harassment and invasion of privacy.
