Pakistani television host and actor Nadia Khan has voiced her support for Indian actor and singer Diljit Dosanjh and the team behind "Sardaar Ji 3," particularly praising their decision to release the film with Pakistani actress Hania Aamir despite facing opposition in India. Khan's comments come amidst controversy surrounding the film's casting choices and its potential impact on Indo-Pakistani relations within the entertainment industry.

Nadia Khan, known for hosting the morning show "Rise and Shine" on 365 News, has been actively discussing current affairs, international relations, and entertainment news. In a recent segment, she addressed the "Sardaar Ji 3" trailer release, taking a surprising turn from her previous stance on Pakistani actors working in India. Khan had earlier suggested that Hania Aamir was "wasting her time" in the Indian film industry. However, she now commends Aamir for making a "strong entry" into Indian cinema.

Khan highlighted the challenges and speculations surrounding the film's release, noting rumors of Aamir's removal and reshoots due to tensions between Pakistan and India. She expressed admiration for the filmmakers' resilience, stating, "The makers, the actor, all are Sikh who fear no one—and I admire their strategy. They stayed silent, didn't respond to any speculation, and let people believe Hania had been removed. Diljit Dosanjh also remained quiet. Now, the trailer is out, and Hania is everywhere."

The release of the "Sardaar Ji 3" trailer on June 23 sparked mixed reactions. While some Pakistani celebrities supported Aamir and Dosanjh, viewers in India criticized the film for casting a Pakistani actress despite existing bans and tensions. According to News24, Khan was heard saying in a viral video, "Ab wo film release ho rahi on the 27th of this month, with Hania Amir of Pakistan, kar lo jo karna hai," which translates to "Now the film is releasing on the 27th of this month, with Hania Aamir of Pakistan, do whatever you want to do." She lauded the film's strategy of silence and surprise, emphasizing Aamir's prominent presence in the trailer.

Khan also acknowledged the backlash Diljit Dosanjh is facing in India, where some label him a "traitor" and call for a boycott. Despite this, she emphasized that the film is set to be released, adding, "Jo marzi karle," meaning "Do whatever you want." She also expressed her desire for the film to be released in Pakistan as well.

Nadia Khan is not the only one who has come out in support of Diljit. Jasbir Jassi also questioned the double standards that are in place.

However, it is important to note that "Sardaar Ji 3" will reportedly not be released in India. The All India Cine Workers Association (AICWA) has urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take strict action against Dosanjh. They have also asked for his social media accounts to be suspended and for a ban on his shows and concerts in India. AICWA has further called for an investigation into the film's funding.

This controversy reflects the ongoing challenges and sensitivities surrounding artistic collaborations between India and Pakistan. While some appreciate the efforts to bridge cultural gaps through entertainment, others remain wary due to political tensions and historical conflicts. The situation highlights the complex dynamics at play within the entertainment industry and the broader socio-political landscape.
