Jungkook's Solo Spotlight: Global Magazine Feature Fuels Anticipation for Potential BTS Reunion Soon?

Jungkook, the youngest member of the globally recognized K-pop group BTS, is set to grace the cover of Rolling Stone UK in a special global edition, marking a historic moment for the artist and his fans. As BTS gears up for their highly anticipated reunion in 2026, this solo feature is generating considerable buzz and excitement.

The Rolling Stone project is a collaborative effort across multiple regions, including the UK, Korea, and Japan, with digital covers also launching in Brazil, China, France, India, and the Philippines. Print versions with exclusive cover shots will be available in Japan, South Korea, and the United Kingdom. This marks the first time Rolling Stone UK has undertaken such a coordinated international project.

Rolling Stone plans to unveil the three final covers on December 8, 2025. In the meantime, a teaser image has been released, featuring Jungkook in a Calvin Klein outfit from his appearance at New York Fashion Week, where he attended as a brand ambassador. The image, captured by photographer Tayo Kuku Jr., showcases Jungkook wearing the CK One Charm Necklace, Barkley Collar-Lace Jacket, and Collins Pants.

This cover story arrives after a successful year for Jungkook, whose debut solo single "Seven," released in 2023, broke digital streaming records. Big Hit Music confirmed in August that "Seven" surpassed 2.5 billion streams on Spotify, making it the first K-pop song to reach this milestone, surpassing BTS' own hit, "Dynamite". Jungkook's releases have accumulated 9.4 billion streams, solidifying his position as the most-streamed K-pop solo act.

The feature in Rolling Stone UK comes as BTS prepares for their comeback in 2026, following the members' completion of their mandatory military service. The band has announced plans for a new album and a world tour, their first since the "Permission to Dance On Stage" tour in 2021. BTS members reunited on July 1, 2025, during a livestream on Weverse, marking their first public appearance together since 2022.

The group plans to release a new album in the spring of 2026 that will reflect each member's thoughts and ideas. BTS also intends to embark on a "massive" world tour in 2026 to accompany the new album.

Prior to their official reunion, BTS members had already started to reconnect with each other. J-Hope's "Hope on the Stage" concert in Goyang marked the reunion of all seven members after a two-year break. Jungkook and Jin joined J-Hope on stage for performances.

Jungkook's appearance on the cover of Rolling Stone UK highlights his global influence and popularity. Previously, he has been featured in Vogue Japan, and other international magazines. As the first K-pop solo artist to grace the cover of Rolling Stone UK, Jungkook is not only redefining what it means to be a successful K-pop soloist but also reshaping the global music landscape.
