Aamir Khan and Vir Das in Funny Fight for Happy Patel Announcement: A Hilarious Video.

Aamir Khan 'Beats Up' Vir Das In Hilarious Happy Patel Announcement Video

Aamir Khan's production house has unveiled a new project, "Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos," a quirky spy comedy marking the directorial debut of actor and comedian Vir Das. The film stars Das alongside Mona Singh and is slated for release on January 16, 2026.

The announcement was made via a humorous video featuring Aamir Khan and Vir Das engaging in playful banter about the film. In the clip, Aamir Khan jokingly grills Vir Das about the quality of the film, questioning the action and romance elements. Aamir jokingly asks Das where the action is, to which Das replies that there is beating in the film. Khan, unimpressed, responds that the whole film is just Das getting beaten up. Khan jokingly suggests that Das should have stuck to stand-up comedy.

The comedic roast continues when Aamir asks about the romance angle, and Vir replies that there is a love track. Aamir quips back that the romance involves Das getting slapped upon meeting his love interest. Aamir also jokingly laments that he wanted an item number, but Vir ended up being the "item girl" of the film.

The playful fight escalates when Aamir predicts that the film is bound to flop, to which Vir responds by mentioning Aamir's film "Laal Singh Chaddha". This prompts Aamir to jokingly "beat up" Vir Das. The video then cuts to the film's team praising the project, leading to Aamir changing his tune and declaring the film to be great.

Aamir Khan Productions has a history of exploring unconventional storytelling, with acclaimed films such as "Lagaan", "Taare Zameen Par", "Dangal", and "Secret Superstar". This marks Vir Das's second collaboration with Aamir Khan Productions, following "Delhi Belly". The teaser also hints at potential cameos from Aamir and Imran Khan.
