On its sixth day, Wednesday, Zootopia 2 is estimated to have collected Rs 85 lakh, reflecting a modest 10% drop from the previous day. According to Sacnilk, the movie earned ₹ 0.69 Cr India net on its sixth day for all languages. The Hindi version of the film had an overall occupancy of 7.47% on Wednesday.
While these numbers represent a decent performance, Zootopia 2's journey in India has been somewhat underwhelming compared to its global success. Sequels to well-received animated films typically enjoy strong opening numbers, relying on positive word-of-mouth to sustain their momentum. However, Zootopia 2 has not followed this trend, experiencing neither a remarkable opening nor significant growth in viewership.
Despite local promotional efforts, including a Hindi dub featuring the voice of actress Shraddha Kapoor as Judy Hopps, the film opened with a modest Rs 1.6 crore. Industry analysts suggest that the film's ultimate earnings in India may settle around Rs 30 crore. The film's performance in the coming weeks will depend on how well it competes against new releases like Dhurandhar and Akhanda 2.
Globally, Zootopia 2 is performing exceptionally well, exceeding USD 600 million and becoming the ninth highest-grossing movie of 2025 worldwide. Projections indicate that it will likely surpass the USD 1 billion mark and has the potential to become the highest-grossing Hollywood release of the year.
