Mumbai, December 9, 2025 – Pranit More, the second runner-up of Bigg Boss 19, has addressed the controversy surrounding an incident with fellow contestant Malti Chahar that occurred shortly before Chahar's elimination. The incident, which Chahar described as a "kick," led to a heated argument and a visible rift between the two, who had previously shared a close bond on the show.
In an exclusive interview with Telly Talk India, More explained his perspective on the event. "That was an error in judgement as we were teasing each other," More stated. He clarified that the incident happened while they were joking around, and he was doing a kicking action when Chahar was accidentally hurt. "She hit me and I was doing the kicking action on the other side. She got hurt accidentally," he said.
More emphasized that he had apologized to Chahar for the accidental contact. "I apologised to her for that, but unfortunately, she got eliminated on the same day and we couldn't resolve the matter," More explained. He expressed regret that Chahar's elimination prevented them from sorting things out, adding, "I felt that was a bit much".
Chahar, in an earlier interview with Zoom, had expressed her disappointment with More's behavior. She stated that More would often interfere and "roast" her when she was talking to other housemates, which bothered her. Chahar revealed that she had told More about her feelings, but he "never accepted it". She also expressed that it pained her because she considered him a friend.
Despite the fallout, More has expressed a desire to mend fences with Chahar. "Main definitely milunga. Jinko dost bola hai unko abhi bhi dost maanta hu," he said, which translates to, "I will definitely meet her. I still consider those I called friends as friends". In another interview with Zoom, More stated that when they met after the show, they spoke a little, and things are a bit better now. He added that he believes things will get sorted out with more conversation. "I will talk to her this week, and I am sure things will get sorted out,” More said.
More also addressed rumors of a romantic relationship with Chahar, denying any such angle. "Mere end se dosti thi. Uske bhi end se dosti thi," More clarified, meaning, "From my end, it was friendship. From her end also, it was friendship". He acknowledged that they had a fight towards the end, which strained their equation.
The incident and its aftermath have drawn significant attention from Bigg Boss 19 viewers, especially given the strong bond More and Chahar initially shared. The argument leading up to Chahar's eviction created a visible shift in their relationship, with Chahar even refusing a hug from More during her exit. More was visibly upset after her departure, further highlighting the emotional impact of their dispute.
Pranit More emerged as the second runner-up in Bigg Boss 19, which concluded on December 7. Gaurav Khanna won the season.
