Dubai, UAE - Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan recently launched a commercial tower in Dubai named after him, "Shahrukhz by Danube". The 55-story skyscraper, developed by Danube Properties, is located on Sheikh Zayed Road and has already sold out for over ₹5,000 crore.
During the launch event, attended by over 6,500 people, including international investors and real estate brokers, Khan jokingly addressed the audience, quipping about whether he would even get an office in his own tower. This lighthearted remark showcased his characteristic humor and humility, endearing him further to the crowd.
"To see a project of this scale in Dubai carry my name is both an honor and a reminder of how generosity and vision can come together," Khan stated at the event. He also acknowledged Dubai's embrace of his career, calling it a city built on courage, imagination, and the belief that nothing is impossible.
The "Shahrukhz by Danube" tower is slated for completion in 2029 and will feature a statue of Shah Rukh Khan in his signature arms-outstretched pose at the entrance. The project spans over 1 million sq ft and includes 488 units, with prices starting at AED 2 million. Danube Group also plans to launch similar 'Shahrukhz' towers in New York, London, Delhi and Mumbai.
The tower will have 35 amenities, including a sky pool, a dedicated helipad for air taxis, valet services, and exclusive executive lounges. Commercial unit sizes range from 460 sq ft to 11,000 sq ft.
Rizwan Sajan, Founder and Chairman of Danube Group, hinted at the possibility of a second tower named after Shah Rukh Khan, stating, "Picture abhi baaki hai mere dost".
This isn't Khan's only property in Dubai; he also owns a luxurious villa named 'Jannat' on the Palm Jumeirah, gifted by Nakheel, a Dubai-based real estate company. Valued at over ₹100 crore, the villa includes a private beach.
Khan's real estate portfolio also includes Mannat, his iconic Mumbai residence, a sea-facing apartment in Bandra, an Alibaug farmhouse, and a Delhi home in Panchsheel Park.
The launch of the Shahrukhz tower and its rapid sell-out underscores Dubai's thriving real estate market and Shah Rukh Khan's enduring popularity and influence in the region. The actor's image has also been displayed on the Burj Khalifa on multiple occasions, including his birthdays.
