Ranveer Singh's spy-thriller "Dhurandhar," also starring Akshaye Khanna, is making waves at the box office, achieving impressive collections in its first week. According to early estimates from Sacnilk, the film has collected ₹26.50 crore on its sixth day, bringing its total earnings to ₹180 crore.
The film has demonstrated strong weekday stability, maintaining collections in the ₹20 crore range. "Dhurandhar" had an overall 37.58% Hindi Occupancy on Wednesday, December 10, 2025. On Saturday, the film saw a growth of around 14 percent and made Rs 32 crore. Meanwhile on Sunday, the jump was phenomenal as the film made around Rs 43 crore which was 34 percent more than the Saturday numbers. On Monday, the collection was Rs 23 crore.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, known for "URI: The Surgical Strike," "Dhurandhar" has garnered positive reviews and significant audience interest. Deepika Padukone has expressed her pride in her husband's recent release, urging everyone to watch it in theaters.
While "Dhurandhar" has surpassed several hit movies of 2025, it still trails behind "Chhaava," which had crossed the ₹200 crore mark by its sixth day, reportedly earning ₹32 crore on that day. However, "Dhurandhar" is expected to beat the lifetime worldwide collection of "Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela" (Rs 218.07cr). It is also expected to surpass the lifetime overseas collection of "Uri: The Surgical Strike" (Rs 48cr) becoming Aditya Dhar’s highest overseas grosser.
The film also stars Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan, Sara Arjun, and Sanjay Dutt in key roles. There were rumors that the film's plot was based on the life of Major Mohit Sharma, but Aditya Dhar has clarified that this is not the case.
A sequel to "Dhurandhar" has been confirmed for release on March 19, 2026, setting up a box office clash with Yash's film "Toxic".
