Mamta Child Factory: A Humorous and Dramatic Look at Surrogacy Through Mohsin Khan's Lens.

Mohsin Khan's directorial debut in Hindi cinema, "Mamta Child Factory," is making waves with its thought-provoking exploration of surrogacy, blending intense drama with fine humor. The film, which is now streaming on Ultra Play, tackles the complexities of surrogacy, aiming to deliver a narrative that is both impactful and emotionally resonant.

Khan, known for his creative work in both Marathi and Hindi cinema, approaches the sensitive subject matter with a commitment to shedding light on critical issues through powerful storytelling. He stated that making his directorial debut with this film is an honor, emphasizing the need for careful handling of the topic of surrogacy. He and his team have worked diligently to present a nuanced and gripping story that resonates with the audience. Khan sees the film as more than just a movie, but rather a reflection on society, ethics, and humanity.

"Mamta Child Factory" follows a doctor and two small-time agents as they embark on a journey to open a surrogacy clinic in a small town, challenging the prevailing conservatism. This sets the stage for what unfolds into ultimate chaos, woven with comedy and humor. The film stars Prathamesh Parab, Prithvik Pratap, Ankita Landepatil, and Ganesh Yadav, with production led by David Nadar under the Lucia Entertainment banner.

However, the film's journey to the screen hasn't been without hurdles. Khan revealed that the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) initially held up the film's certification due to its subject of surrogacy. The film was screened on July 29, after which the team was informed that surrogacy was "legally not permissible" in India, which was surprising, considering that altruistic surrogacy is a strictly regulated but legally recognized practice in India. Khan also pointed out that his Marathi movie "Delivery Boy" (2024), which had a similar theme, received certification and support.

Despite these challenges, Khan remains committed to bringing "Mamta Child Factory" to audiences, using his directorial debut to address socially relevant issues with sensitivity and depth.
