"Mamta Child Factory" follows a doctor and two small-time agents as they embark on a journey to open a surrogacy clinic in a small town, challenging the prevailing conservatism. The film stars Prathamesh Parab, Prithvik Pratap, Ankita Landepatil, and Ganesh Yadav, with production led by David Nadar under the Lucia Entertainment banner.
However, the film's journey to the screen hasn't been without hurdles. Khan revealed that the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) initially held up the film's certification due to its subject of surrogacy. The film was screened on July 29, after which the team was informed that surrogacy was "legally not permissible" in India, which was surprising, considering that altruistic surrogacy is a strictly regulated but legally recognized practice in India. Khan also pointed out that his Marathi movie "Delivery Boy" (2024), which had a similar theme, received certification and support.
Despite these challenges, Khan remains committed to bringing "Mamta Child Factory" to audiences, using his directorial debut to address socially relevant issues with sensitivity and depth.
