Tisca Chopra Applauds Aditya Dhar's 'Dhurandhar' – A Delightful Cinematic Experience Filled With 'Mad Mazza'.

Tisca Chopra has lauded Aditya Dhar for his directorial work in the recently released film, "Dhurandhar," praising him for delivering what she described as "mad mazza". The film, which hit theaters on December 5, 2025, has been generating significant buzz, and Chopra's comments add to the growing chorus of positive reactions.

"Dhurandhar" features Ranveer Singh in the lead role, supported by a cast including Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan and Arjun Rampal. The film is produced by Jyoti Deshpande, Aditya Dhar, and Lokesh Dhar under the banners of Jio Studios and B62 Studios. According to reports, Netflix has acquired the rights to stream "Dhurandhar" and its sequel for a substantial amount.

The movie is a spy thriller that pits Singh against Khanna, showcasing a compelling narrative that has resonated with audiences. Initial reviews of "Dhurandhar" have been largely positive, with particular praise directed towards the performances of the lead actors and Dhar's direction. Some critics, however, have faced online backlash for expressing mixed or negative opinions, prompting the Film Critics Guild (FCG) to condemn such abuse.

Sara Arjun, who also stars in "Dhurandhar," penned a heartfelt note to Aditya Dhar, acknowledging his guidance and support and calling him the “real Dhurandhar”. She expressed gratitude for the safe space he created, which allowed her to dream freely and grow as an artist. She admired his wisdom, humility, and unwavering belief in her potential, further emphasizing the positive environment Dhar cultivated on set.

In addition to "Dhurandhar's" success, Tisca Chopra is also in the news for her directorial debut, "Saali Mohabbat," a psychological thriller starring Radhika Apte, which will premiere on ZEE5 on December 12, 2025. Faraz Ansari, director of "Sisak," lauded Chopra's directorial work in "Saali Mohabbat," describing it as "visceral" and "unapologetically feminist". Ansari also praised Apte's performance, noting that she "doesn't merely act - she embodies". Divyenndu Sharma, who also stars in "Saali Mohabbat," shared his positive experience working with Chopra, appreciating her approach to creating an atmosphere where silences speak louder than words.
