Hyderabad's Peddi Project Ramps Up: Construction Resumes Under New Schedule, Aiming For Swift Completion.

Hyderabad, December 12, 2025 - The team behind the highly anticipated film "Peddi," starring Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor, is commencing a new shooting schedule in Hyderabad, signaling a significant push towards completion. This schedule, which began today, is slated to capture crucial scenes, with additional portions planned to be filmed in Delhi.

Industry insiders reveal that the production aims to wrap up the entire "talkie" portion – referring to scenes with dialogue – by the end of January 2026. This aggressive timeline underscores the commitment to meet the film's scheduled release date of March 27, 2026. Furthermore, this release date coincides with Ram Charan's birthday.

While the Hyderabad and Delhi schedules progress, post-production work is also underway. This includes editing, dubbing, visual effects, music, and background score. By initiating post-production tasks concurrently with filming, the team aims to maintain momentum and ensure a seamless transition to the final stages of film completion.

"Peddi" is directed by Buchi Babu Sana and is produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under Vriddhi Cinemas, and presented by Mythri Movie Makers in association with Sukumar Writings. The film is mounted on a lavish budget and is planned for a pan-India release.

Adding to the film's star power, Kannada superstar Shiva Rajkumar plays a pivotal role, with Jagapathi Babu and Divyendu Sharma also featuring in important characters. Janhvi Kapoor's presence marks her Telugu film debut.

The technical crew includes some of the most respected names in Indian cinema. AR Rahman is composing the music, R. Rathnavelu is handling cinematography, and National Award winner Navin Nooli is editing. Avinash Kolla is managing the production design. Action director Sham Kaushal has also been brought on board to choreograph an electrifying fight sequence, which was shot on a specially constructed set at Hyderabad's Aluminium Factory.

"Peddi" has already generated significant buzz, with its first-look posters, First Shot Glimpse, and chart-topping first single "Chikiri Chikiri" receiving widespread acclaim. The song, in particular, has become a global social media sensation, further amplifying the film's hype. As the film progresses towards completion, expectations are soaring, with "Peddi" being positioned as one of the biggest releases of 2026.

Despite some rumors of postponement due to the potential release of Pawan Kalyan's "Ustaad Bhagat Singh," the makers of "Peddi" have officially confirmed that the film will be released on March 27, 2026.
