"Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat" hit theaters on October 21, 2025, coinciding with Diwali. Upon its release, the film garnered mixed reactions from audiences. Despite the mixed reception, the film managed to become the 12th highest-grossing Hindi film of 2025. On its opening day, the film earned approximately ₹9 crore net in India, marking a career-best opening for Harshvardhan Rane.
The film's narrative centers around Vikramaditya Bhonsle, played by Harshvardhan Rane, a politician who falls for Adaa Randhawa, portrayed by Sonam Bajwa. As the story unfolds, Vikramaditya's love takes a dark turn, transforming into an unhealthy obsession. The supporting cast includes Shaad Randhawa, Sachin Khedekar, Ananth Narayan Mahadevan, and Rajesh Khera.
Initially titled "Deewaniyat," the film was announced on Valentine's Day 2025 and later retitled "Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat" in May. The film was initially slated for an October 2 release but was later pushed to October 21 for unspecified reasons.
The theatrical release of "Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat" faced competition from Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna's "Thamma," which affected its screen space in some theaters. According to reports, the film was made on a budget of ₹25 crore.
Directed by Milap Zaveri, the film's music is composed by Sachin-Jigar. Zaveri is also working on his next project, "Dongri," a crime drama directed by Remo D'Souza, scheduled for release on October 9, 2026.
