Karan Johar Jokes About Being Kartik Aaryan's Matchmaker, Channeling "Indian Matchmaking" Star.

At the trailer launch of the upcoming film "Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri" in Mumbai on December 18, 2025, actor Kartik Aaryan expressed his desire to find romance in real life, which prompted filmmaker Karan Johar to volunteer as his personal matchmaker.

During the event, Johar playfully declared his intention to take on the role of 'Seema Aunty' for Aaryan, referencing the famous matchmaker Seema Taparia from the Netflix series "Indian Matchmaking". "I have gotten many people married, I just want to tell you. A lot of information comes to you, some information doesn't even come to you. I am a very big matchmaker, I can do better than Seema aunty (Seema Taparia)," Johar told the media. He added, "I am better than Seema aunty, but I can't tell all my facts outside. So I am taking on the responsibility. From today, after this film releases, I will take on the responsibility to be Kartik's Seema". Aaryan responded to Johar's offer with a smile, expressing his appreciation.

Johar, known for his chat show "Koffee With Karan," hinted at his matchmaking skills, stating that many Bollywood relationships have materialized through the show. He expressed confidence in his ability to find a partner for Aaryan.

The trailer launch also showcased the camaraderie between Johar and Aaryan. Johar praised Aaryan's dedication to the film, acknowledging his hard work and constant involvement in the filmmaking process. He even jokingly called Aaryan a "vampire" due to the late-night calls he receives from the actor.

"Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri," jointly presented by Dharma Productions and Namah Pictures, is slated to release on December 25, 2025. The film stars Aaryan and Ananya Panday and is touted as a romantic drama that captures love in its truest form. Aaryan described his character, Ray, as someone who lives in the moment, and said that the film beautifully showcases the highs and lows of romance. The film is produced by Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Shareen Mantri Kedia, Kishor Arora, and Bhumika Tewari.
