Nick Jonas Grooves to Unexpected 'Dhurandhar' Track: Not 'FA9LA' But Something Else Entirely!

In a surprising turn of events, American pop star Nick Jonas has found himself captivated by the music of Bollywood, specifically a track from the recently released film "Dhurandhar," starring Ranveer Singh and Akshaye Khanna. The singer shared a video on his Instagram, grooving to the song "Shararat" alongside his brothers, Joe and Kevin Jonas.

"New pre show hype song unlocked," Jonas captioned the video, indicating that the high-energy track has become a part of his pre-performance ritual. The song "Shararat," sung by Madhubanti Bagchi and Jasmine Sandlas, with music composed by Shashwat Sachdev, is a dance number featuring Ayesha Khan and Krystle D'Souza in the film.

The video quickly went viral, drawing reactions from fans and the Bollywood fraternity alike. Ranveer Singh, known for his energetic performances, responded to the video with an enthusiastic comment, "@hahahahahaah JIJUUUU JAAANE DEEEEEE,". Jonas replied, "Bhai! Dhurandhar title track is up next! Love to you and the family. Let's go!". This interaction highlights the growing connection between the American pop star and the Indian film industry.

This isn't the first time Nick Jonas has shown his appreciation for Bollywood music. Recently, he shared a video of himself enjoying "Aavan Jaavan" from War 2, revealing it to be one of his go-to tracks. Previously, Priyanka Chopra revealed that Nick enjoys dancing to Bollywood songs before his shows. Nikhita Gandhi, who provided vocals for "Aavan Jaavan," responded to the post, stating, "Glad my voice is your jam". Hrithik Roshan and Kiara Advani from War 2 also reacted to the video.

"Dhurandhar," directed by Aditya Dhar, has been a box office success, crossing the ₹500 crore mark domestically and ₹700 crore globally. The film, which was released on December 5th, 2025, is a spy thriller set in Pakistan in the early 2000s and features Ranveer Singh as agent Hamza Ali Mazari. The film also stars Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun, R Madhavan, and Rakesh Bedi.

The film's music has also gained popularity, with every track entering the Spotify Global Top 200. Another song from the movie, "FA9LA," featuring Akshaye Khanna, has also gone viral, with many recreating Khanna's dance moves on social media.

Aditya Dhar also commented on Jonas' video, writing, "Okay… this just made my day". Dhar and his brother Lokesh Dhar produced the film through their banner B62 Studios, alongside Jyoti Deshpande of Jio Studios. The movie revolves around a network of criminals, informants, and operatives navigating covert operations, espionage, and betrayals.
