The stage is set for another laughter-filled episode of "The Great Indian Kapil Show" as the latest trailer promises a riotous blend of music and comedy with guests AP Dhillon and Anubhav Singh Bassi. The promo, which surfaced online, shows host Kapil Sharma introducing the two stars in his signature witty style. He jokingly refers to himself as a global star alongside AP Dhillon, leaving Anubhav Singh Bassi in splits.
The episode is expected to air on February 7, 2026.
Kapil Sharma initiates the banter by questioning AP Dhillon about his reaction to one of his music videos crossing a billion views. Dhillon responds with nonchalance, stating he was too engrossed in his work to pay attention to the milestone. Adding to the comedic flair, Anubhav Singh Bassi recounts a particularly humbling experience from his early stand-up days. He recalls being paid ₹8,000 for a gig where the audience largely ignored his performance. He went on stage to announce that he was going to do stand-up comedy. People noticed me and then went back to doing their work.
The trailer hints at a segment where Kapil Sharma teases AP Dhillon about stories from his concerts, including skyrocketing ticket prices reaching up to INR 6 lakh and reports of phones and wallets disappearing amongst the audience. Kapil delivers a savage line: "AP was showcasing his talent on the stage, and people in the audience were showcasing their talent". The episode will also feature Kiku Sharda as Chota Shaikh and Krushna Abhishek as Bada Shaikh, adding to the madness. Sunil Grover will also make an appearance as Diamond Raja, steering the episode into unpredictable laughs.
This wouldn't be the first time Kapil Sharma has shown appreciation for AP Dhillon's work. Back in December 2024, Sharma attended Dhillon's Mumbai concert and lauded his performance, referring to him as a "rockstar".
The episode with AP Dhillon and Anubhav Singh Bassi follows the appearance of A.R. Rahman and Vijay Sethupathi on the show. "The Great Indian Kapil Show" streams on Netflix and includes cast members Archana Puran Singh, Navjot Singh Sidhu, Sunil Grover, Kiku Sharda and Krushna Abhishek.
