The iconic Tamil cinema comedic duo, Prabhu Deva and Vadivelu, have reunited after two decades for a new, currently untitled, film. The movie was officially launched with a traditional pooja ceremony held in Dubai on Monday, August 25, 2025.

The film is directed by Sam Rodrigues, who previously worked with Prabhu Deva on "Musasi". KRG Groups is backing the project, with KRG Kannan Ravi producing and Deepak Ravi co-producing. This collaboration marks the seventh time Prabhu Deva and Vadivelu have worked together, following "Kaadhalan" (1994), "Love Birds" (1995), "Mr Romeo" (1996), "Kaathala Kaathala" (1998), "Manadhai Thirudivittai" (2001), and "Engal Anna" (2004). Vadivelu has also starred in Prabhu Deva's directorial ventures, "Pokkiri" and "Villu".

Yuvan Shankar Raja will be composing the music for the film. This project marks the first time that Prabhu Deva, Vadivelu, and Yuvan Shankar Raja have collaborated since "Manadhai Thirudivittai" (2001). The technical crew includes cinematographer Vignesh Vasu, editor Lewellyn Gonsalvez (Anthony), and action choreographer Peter Hein.

The film is being touted as a full-fledged action-adventure that will incorporate the trademark elements of a Prabhu Deva-Vadivelu film. Actor Bablu Prithiviraj, who recently received praise for his performance in "Ace", will also play a significant role in the movie.

Several prominent figures from the Tamil film industry attended the inaugural function in Dubai, including producer Subaskaran of Lyca Productions, actor Jiiva, producer Gnanavel Raja of Studio Green, and director Nitish Sahadev.

Shooting for the film is scheduled to commence in November 2025, with the entire shoot expected to be completed in a single schedule. The makers have announced that the film is slated for a theatrical release in 2026. An announcement poster has already been released, teasing the look of the actors in cowboy outfits with the tagline "Why Blood Same Blood," a popular line from their 2001 film, "Manadhai Thirudivittai". The project is tentatively being referred to as "Production No. 4".
