Veteran filmmaker Subhash Ghai is facing renewed scrutiny after actress Nehal Vadoliya accused him of sexual misconduct. The allegations stem from an incident that Vadoliya says occurred at Ghai's residence, where she felt uncomfortable due to his behavior.

According to Vadoliya, she and her then-boyfriend visited Ghai's home. During the evening, Ghai allegedly made inappropriate compliments and advances towards her, including calling her "very sexy" and complimenting her laugh. Vadoliya stated that Ghai came very close to her, and though she moved aside, his lips touched her cheek in a near-kiss. She told her boyfriend that Ghai was about to kiss her on the lips. Vadoliya said she was upset with her boyfriend for taking her to Ghai's home, implying he was aware of Ghai's behavior. The incident reportedly led to her breakup with her boyfriend, as she felt he was not trustworthy.

In response to the allegations, Subhash Ghai posted a cryptic message on his Instagram account. The post, accompanied by a picture of green plants, addressed the duty of senior experts to guide young professionals seeking help. Ghai added that it has become "scary to meet unknown guys where they want to be seen in social media with right or wrong statements just for publicity". He concluded by saying, "God bless them. A Mutual respect is the first thing in making a respectful career". Ghai's post did not directly address Vadoliya's allegations, leaving many questions unanswered.

This is not the first time Subhash Ghai has been accused of sexual misconduct. During the #MeToo movement in 2018, he faced similar accusations. Actress Reena Gulan also accused Subhash Ghai in her book; however, Ghai has denied these allegations.

The resurfacing of these allegations against Ghai has sparked discussions about power dynamics, exploitation, and the safety of women in the film industry.
