The upcoming film "Metro… In Dino," directed by Anurag Basu, is generating significant buzz, not only for its ensemble cast and exploration of modern relationships but also for the rising actor Kush Jotwani, who plays a pivotal role. While the film boasts established stars like Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Pankaj Tripathi, and Konkona Sen Sharma, Jotwani is making waves as a fresh face to watch.

Recent reports suggest that Jotwani is approaching this opportunity with a grounded perspective. Despite the excitement surrounding his entry into Hindi cinema with such a high-profile project, he is clear that he doesn't see "Metro… In Dino" as his "big Bollywood break." In an interview with Zoom, Jotwani expressed his desire to seek out even larger opportunities that will allow him to further hone his craft. He emphasized that while he's grateful for the chance to work with acclaimed director Anurag Basu and alongside a stellar cast, he's focused on presenting himself on a "bigger, larger picture" in the future.

This statement reveals a certain ambition and self-awareness on Jotwani's part. Rather than being overwhelmed by the prospect of sharing screen time with established actors like Aditya Roy Kapur, he seems to be using the experience as a stepping stone. He acknowledges the value of working in an ensemble cast, noting how much he's learning from his co-stars.

Kush Jotwani's journey to "Metro… In Dino" has been marked by steady progress and a willingness to embrace diverse roles. Before landing this film, he garnered attention for his performances in the web series "Dil Dosti Dilemma" and "Knock Knock... Kaun Hai?". In "Knock Knock... Kaun Hai?", a psychological thriller, Jotwani showcased his ability to portray emotionally complex characters, a quality that has likely contributed to his rising profile.

According to reports, Jotwani secured his role in "Metro... In Dino" after a series of interactions with director Anurag Basu. He received an invitation for a Zoom meeting from Basu's production house while shooting for "Dil Dosti Dilemma." Following the virtual meeting, Basu requested an in-person meeting and asked Jotwani to audition for a part. Jotwani recorded his audition from his hotel room and sent it in. On the last day of shooting for "Dil Dosti Dilemma," he received the news that he had been cast in "Metro... In Dino."

"Metro... In Dino" is described as a spiritual sequel to Basu's 2007 film, "Life in a... Metro." The film explores multiple stories of contemporary couples navigating love, heartbreak, and human connection in modern urban India. The ensemble cast includes Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Ali Fazal, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Konkona Sen Sharma, Pankaj Tripathi, Neena Gupta, Anupam Kher and Saswata Chatterjee. The film is scheduled to release on July 4, 2025.
