Mumbai Police have summoned Siddhant Kapoor, brother of actress Shraddha Kapoor, in connection with a major drug case linked to the Dawood Ibrahim network. Social media influencer Orhan Awatramani, also known as Orry, has also been summoned.
The Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) of the Mumbai Police is investigating rave parties allegedly organized by Mohammad Salim Mohammad Suhail Shaikh, a close associate of fugitive drug kingpin Salim Dola, who has links to Dawood Ibrahim. Police allege that Shaikh organized high-end parties attended by several known personalities.
According to reports, a drug trafficker identified as Mohammad Salim Mohammad Suhail Shaikh, who was arrested earlier this month, claimed to have arranged lavish parties for celebrities. During interrogation, Shaikh named several attendees, including Alishah Parkar, son of Dawood Ibrahim's deceased sister Haseena Parkar, actors Nora Fatehi, Shraddha Kapoor, and Siddhant Kapoor, film producers Abbas-Mustan, and rapper Loka. He also mentioned Baba Siddique's son and NCP leader Zeeshan Siddique as attendees.
Siddhant Kapoor has been asked to appear before the ANC's Ghatkopar unit on November 25 to record his statement. Orry, who missed an earlier summons on November 20, has been given a new date of appearance on November 26. Orry’s representative stated that he was out of Mumbai and needed more time to appear.
The ongoing probe is related to an alleged drug trafficking syndicate with links to the Dawood Ibrahim gang. The case involves a seizure of mephedrone worth ₹252 crore. Investigators are currently looking into the rave parties that were allegedly held in Mumbai and Dubai.
